Thank you for the inspiration Lupita! And for the opportunity to meet and get this photo. Well, thank God for that! It was certainly the highlight of my fashion week! I kept asking my fellow photographers all week, “Do you think Lupita is going to show?!” They always responded, “No, she has the Oscars coming up.” Then, on the very last day of Fashion Week at Miu Miu’s Fall Winter 2014 show, a friend whispered into my ear, “Lupita is coming. Stand right here!” And there I stood, frozen by the news, not being able to decide at that moment if I wanted to look at you through my camera lens or without it. I am glad I got to do both, for either way I was blown away by your beauty and elegance, the fifteen seconds I had of it before other photographers swarmed in front of my view.
Your journey has been remarkable, and I hope to meet you again someday. Congratulations on the Oscars! You truly deserve it! Africa is proud of you! We all are! God bless the rest of your endeavors!
