Vice City

I turned 25 this past week!! And I knew no better way to commemorate this milestone than to go to Vegas with a couple of my girlfriends and party my butt off! A girl must go to Vegas at least once in her lifetime! That’s why I’ve been so MIA! I’ve been planning this trip since May, but I only decided to make it official in July! And I had been so caught up with the details (you know me) since then. I left the day of my birthday after spending sometime with my family, and it was exciting to feel like I was going back in time because Vegas is 3 hours behind time, so even though my birthday had ended on the other side of the United States, Vegas gifted me with three extra hours which I gladly put to good use on a party bus as well as rooftop clubs with breathtaking views of the Vegas strip.

One of the most exciting things I did in Vegas, (and probably in my whole life) was go on a late night helicopter ride where I took the above photo and met some of the nicest people you will ever meet! I will be sharing more photos from my helicopter ride on my postcards series. It was my first time on a helicopter, and I’d been dying to do this since we started planning the trip. The view was so breathtaking that at a point I just had to put my camera down and enjoy the moment. I will definitely do it again!

I also did some other exciting things like go to a pool party for the first time which was so live we had to do it again the next day! And it had some amazing moments like Trey Songz singing in my face!! No, literally! It was so unbelievable — Good thing I have it on tape!! There was so many special moments in Vegas, but my favorite must have been just being wished a Happy Birthday by every stranger in the street because I wore a birthday tiara everywhere I went for 3 days straight! Of course, my friends were sick of the tiara by the third day, but it got us upgrades and so many freebies! No, complaining there. It was just amazing hearing Happy birthday from everyone everywhere I went. Nope, it didn’t even get annoying, I enjoyed every bit of the attention. You only turn 25 once. I even wore my birthday tiara right down to the airport where my friends and I were running full speed to catch a flight we almost missed, and right up to my seat where I passed out, but right before the last happy birthday wish in Vegas from the stranger sitting next to me. 🙂 It was a great birthday!

I can’t wait to share photos and videos of the amazing moments with you! Now I just need someone to have a bachelorette party in Vegas so I can have an excuse to go again this year. Yes, this year!
