Yes, you read the title right! I am not sure how it happened. I’ve written countless notes about the reasons why Fall is the absolute worst and published the modest, kinder versions of a few of them on here.

It’s no surprise that I have developed an irrational dislike for Fall over the years, and until now, I would have never believed anyone who told me I may actually like Fall one day. But here we are, me, excited and falling helplessly in love with fall. I’m as confused as you are, but I am not going to try to understand why because I’m scared I might fall into relapse! Although, I’m pretty sure a lot of people asking me why I hate fall and my hearing nothing but irrational answers come out of my mouth has a lot to do with this. Also, everyone is excited about it and swooning around me and it’s really, really contagious! So, I caved!
I actually realized that there were so many things that happened in the fall that I looked forward to every year. Things that I always got super excited about and truly enjoyed, but never really thought much about how unique it was to Fall. So I decided to make a list of five things I absolutely love about Fall:

Good TV

A good number of my favorite TV shows start back in the Fall! Plus a list of awesome new shows join the party every Fall. Granted, my productivity levels have suffered a great deal at the pleasure of sitting in front of a TV with a glass of wine every Thursday night to watch HTGAWM and Grey’s Anatomy ( which I vowed to stop watching last year but ) #TGIT is always worth it. And then there’s Modern Family. How can I not be excited for new episodes of Modern Family?!
Really, all the world needs is to add Game of Thrones to the Fall line up of shows and I’ll burn every hate letter I ever wrote to fall.

Pumpkin Soup

Actually Pumpkin everything. Last year, I kept boxes of Pumpkin soup that I bought from Trader Joe’s so I can have them all year round. However, for some weird reason I didn’t touch any of them until Fall came around this year. I guess there’s nothing better than having a warm bowl of Pumpkin soup with a dollop of Creme Fraiche in the cool evenings of the Fall. And I’m yet to try a Pumpkin latte from Starbucks!

Fog

This is a weird one, but I really love waking up to foggy mornings.  I love the gentle cool breeze! It makes me so happy. I’m weirdly productive on foggy mornings. It’s my favorite time to do errands, take a class, or basically do anything I usually don’t like to do. Fog or overcast weather is also one of  favorite times to photograph.  I only get crazy excited for fog in the mornings. I don’t like it to stay beyond 12 noon—I want my sun then and my golden light at 5pm!

Speaking of the weather

I love that the weather is usually in the mid 60s. Kind of like spring again, but with a different color palette. I love how perfect it is for fashion too. Not too cold to show some skin and not too warm to wear some sexy boots.

Burgundy

Burgundy or Ox blood is one of my favorite colors to wear! And I absolutely love how it is practically everywhere right now! Although, I am yet to buy an item in that shade this fall.  Forget that is the first thing I search for on Zara.com, I still have not found the one burgundy dress. 🙁
