One thing I always look forward to when I’m going on vacation is the hotel I will be staying in. I take the time to do a lot of research to find the best in price, hospitality, and luxury! Even though my mom likes to point out how little of my time is actually spent in the hotel, I’ve just always been crazy about getting the best out of where I will be staying. My friends and I stayed in two different hotels in Miami and I was pleasantly surprised by this one which was actually recommended to us at the last minute–a true hidden gem!
We stayed on South Beach just across the ocean in a spacious suite with two balconies; one overlooking the Miami beach and the other overlooking the city skyline. My favorite thing to do in the morning was to slide the glass doors open and walk out onto the balcony to take in the breathtaking view of the sun rising on the beach and the colorful beach umbrellas decorating the shore. On the larger balcony, we had a panoramic view of the beach and the city skyline, which, especially at night, was beyond magical! It always put me in the best of moods standing underneath the stars and enjoying the beautiful music that played outside on the beach. It kept the city alive and made us all excited to get out there and join in on the fun! Also, I cannot forget the sweetest birthday surprise from the hotel staff which was waiting for me when I checked into my room. They had learned it was my birthday and left chocolate covered strawberries and a lovely birthday note! That and all the lovely birthday desserts(and numerous free shots) I got from restaurants and bars is the reason I’m nervous to weigh myself on a scale right now! I couldn’t have wished for a sweeter welcome to Miami and a great start to my birthday weekend. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Shore Club hotel and all the lovely people I met all over Miami for making this birthday extra special!
