In a designer’s world

My day started super early. I was up at 6:30 am and out the door at 7 am to join the line for the ErdemxHM collection that launched today. I was actually really nervous about the queue for the launch. I once tried this in the US – you might remember the very popular BalmainxHm collection that sold out quickly – I was in the line from 5 am until 10 am only to find everything I wanted was sold out, so I was pretty nervous about what it would be like in Paris. I said a prayer, held my breath and walked out to the HM store at Boulevard Haussmann. I was surprised to find a relatively short line when I arrived at 7:45 am! Although, I was still really nervous that everyone before me would want the same thing I want and in my size! Luckily, that was not the case,  the store was fully stocked when I got inside at 9:25 (I was in the second batch of people to enter – So that means I was among the first 80 to arrive! Woohoo! So proud of myself!) I got everything I wanted and then some(mainly because we weren’t allowed to try them on)! Coming back home and trying on all the really beautiful pieces was definitely the highlight of my day!

The rest of my evening was spent out back in Paris. This time casually strolling the streets of Avenue Montaigne.Plaza Athénée on Avenue Montaigne Paris photo by travel blogger Armenyl

It was already getting close so to sunset and I wanted something quick to check off my to see list in Paris. Plaza Athénée has been one of those Instagram worthy spots I’ve been meaning to visit, so I made that my quick visit of the day. I also remembered that someone had once told me to check out avenue Montaigne – a street lined with the biggest designer names in Paris!! I knew I was not going to buy anything (especially not after my Erdem splurge earlier today), but I thought it was still worth strolling by and drooling over!

Plaza Athénée itself was exactly how I pictured it luxurious and dreamy!

Since it wasn’t completely dark out yet, I walked over another new area! I noted that I had never seen the Eiffel Tower from that angle before. I’m usually on the other side of the river! Even though I have a thousand pictures of the Eiffel Tower already, I took some more for good measure.

It was a pretty awesome day especially since I’m already home (7 pm) relaxing in my bed – I kinda need it after today’s early start.
