Savings 2.0: Thinking about the bigger picture.

When I wrote savings, I spoke about the importance of improving by showing what you got. The only way you are going to move from level one to level two, is well, when you put down level one and start working on level two. It’s that simple: You are always going to be at level one if you keep holding on to level one.

Today I wanted to talk about an extension of this: Doing it for others. Our actions affect one another, and though you might think that by sitting on your own progress you affect you and you alone. You may be quite mistaken. Don’t wait until it’s convenient for you to make a difference: People don’t need you on your schedule, they need you when they need you.

Sometimes our best comes out during our worst times. It can be a tough thing to brighten up someone’s day when you yourself feel like you’ve been sitting in darkness, but be a light, with what little strength you have left, be a light.
