I had already spent a considerable amount of my time in Ghana this past month visiting the Charlotte store and playing around with the clothes, so when I came up with the idea I was telling you about to explore Ghana fashion, the brand was one of the first to come to mind. (see the original post here)
The general aesthetics at Charlotte Privé are sexy, modern, and, especially, well-tailored. Despite being the perfect choice for the working Ghanaian woman, no garment is ever fully restrained. There’s always a little touch of sexy in every dress–an edge, so to speak. It pops up tactfully out of nowhere and on the most unassuming garment. From the low-cut back hiding behind the simple front of a midi dress to the splash of neon tucked in the discreet corner of a black and white checkered dress, each well-tailored dress has a sexy little secret.
The modern Ghanaian woman is fashionable, ambitious, fun, and trend conscious.
And for all his sophisticated designs, clean-cuts, and bold moves, Charlotte Privé’s creative director, Nana Kwame Adusei, captures this elegantly.
