NYFW SS19 Street Style Trends: FLORALS

One of the biggest street style trends at New York Fashion Week was a huge surprise to all of us.

Starting off our trend report with one of the most refreshing and surprising trends to see at fashion week: Florals? For fall? Now, that’s groundbreaking!* (Please, tell me you caught the reference). For someone who has a hard time letting go of spring and summer for the falling leaves of autumn, I couldn’t be happier to see the whimsical pattern revived in the fall of all times.
If you find the idea of florals for fall completely ridiculous, consider switching out pastel florals for darker and richer tones of the motif like burgundy, chestnut, rose and teal. Below some more ideas to make you rethink florals for fall.

There are so many different ways to pull off this trend! You can pair maxi floral dresses and skirts with your favorite boots (honestly, boots will make anything look fall-worthy!)—throw in a hat as well if you are feeling a little daring! Or try a subtle approach by pairing softer florals with woodsy colors. I love how Camilla(above) paired her floral top with brown plaid pants.

This trend is bold & romantic. My favorite looks are the ones that make me think of rose gardens.

Have I convinced you yet? What do you think of floral patterns for fall? Crazy or revolutionary? And who else is eyeing both Beyonce & Rihanna’s September Vogue covers for the flower crown inspiration?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this trend! (Check out my floral look for fall here. See? not so bad)

*Seriously! Miranda Priestly would approve.
