Mini Trends: Wildest Dreams

The craziest print mashup at fashion week is a bit of wild card…

[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]hen the python/snake print became popular a few seasons ago, style publications emphasized one rule on how to rock the pattern: Do Not Go Overboard With It! The snake print which is already quite busy and heavy to the eye has always been recommended with plain and subtle pieces.

Well, apparently, no one at fashion week listened…

Thus, the oddest combination to walk the streets of fashion week this fall: a python and floral print mix. Both prints were popular in their own right, but some show-goers took it a step further and paired the two trends together to create a crazy combo that, actually, dare I say, wasn’t so bad.

Even though both prints are pretty busy patterns, and would perhaps be better suited with easy-going solid colors, the muted tones in these looks don’t make it seem too heavy. Or am I crazy?
