The smell of fresh coffee brewing wafted through the crisp Sunday morning air as guests of the Tory Burch show flocked the cobblestone street. Little coffee stands, flower stands bookshops and fruit stands lined both ends of the busy street. Burch had turned Mercer Street in New York not only into a street fair but her fashion show runway.
At 20 past 11, the crowd quieted down as an upbeat tune took over and models came strutting down the street. In bright yellows, reds, blues, and magenta, plaids, stripes, and the Tory Burch motif, models paraded the street in flowy skirts and wrap tops—A ready-to-wear collection, many would aptly title “Timeless Utility.“
