[dropcap size=small]M[/dropcap]ost street style photographs are candid shots—at least to some extent. We, photographers, do sometimes ask our subjects to walk across the street in the middle of traffic or stand next to objects that match/contrast with their outfits or, most times, we just ask them to hold their “candids” a little longer so we get the right shot. However, for the most part, they are all uncontrived shots. Several of our photographs start with these candid shots that go on to inspire the posed photographs that follows. The natural photographs are always the best ones. They are my favorites! They could pass for editorials, yet they really were an accident. There are the ones I can’t wait to edit and share with you. Like this one at New York fashion Week: The beautiful woman walked right in front of my frame, I clicked the shutter button immediately, and she was out of the frame. I have no photo before and none after, just this one. Yet, for me, the scene and the subject manage to perfectly capture the modern New York city woman in such a way and instance 😉 that only the blessings of “the right moment” can give.
