As with any creative collaboration, I was really excited when Courtney reached out to shoot together! We met for the first time last year in July on a shoot and clicked over our shared creative interests! We got to hang out again one evening to chat about our different creative journeys, how we have a thousand creative passions, and why it is so difficult to define what we do! I always enjoy conversations like that because of how much it reminds us creatives that we are not alone. Later that year we met up again, this time Courtney was joining me for her first time at Fashion Week!
We’ve been talking about shooting together for a while now, but we never quite got around to it between my being out of the country for most of last year and Courtney’s art school schedule. But, it finally happened one hot afternoon this past June and I’m so excited to finally share the images with you.
Our biggest goal for this shoot was to showcase Courtney’s brand and highlight some of her favorite things which you can probably tell has a lot to do with nature. I wanted to bring a romantic vibe to the story, so in all the looks we shot that day, I kept things on a feminine soft side. I love how the styling (done by Courtney) came together with the location and especially how it adds to the story.
