After the Break…

I’ve never taken this long a break from my website. It feels like a whole life happened in between. As I sat at my desk reacquainting myself with everything from website settings to my voice. I haven’t been sure where to start. It took so long to get to this point. To log in(… or remember my password). How do you account for a break you never really planned?

I am blessed to report that I’ve been well. That I’ve been happy! I’ve been creating, reading, growing, starting new jobs, evolving, and learning so much about myself.

As a creator, a lot has changed. I finally found my way back to a space where I come and go freely. I’ve been more content to share my art than to be validated for it. The freedom of it all has been a truly beautiful experience. I’ve been quietly watching my path open up. Sometimes it shakes up in the air, but thank God, it always falls in place. I’ve found the peace in my creativity to to release and move on. Maybe that’s why I never forced myself back here. I wanted the moment to come to me. And now that it is here, it feels good to be back.

We’ll talk more soon, but for now I will leave you with some random updates. In no particular order…

  1. I spent close to five months in Ghana; taking the time to reconnect, heal and start some exciting projects!
  2. I started reading more. It’s my favorite past time now and a big win for me because I’ve always wanted to return to a place where I enjoyed reading again
  3. I started a new job! Which is very much like this one! haha! but for a global sports company
  4. Built a studio.
  5. I am learning how to use the stuff in the studio lol!
  6. I created a TikTok but mainly lipsync Bruno Mars’ talking to the moon, and never publish it
  7. I’ve become obsessed with scents ( more on this later)
  8. Also obsessed with the color brown. I am walking snicker bar (more on this later)
  9. Nice is just a place in France. Kindness is a better way
  10. I don’t like cooking as much as I did last year, but I miss the days when I’d stop in the middle of a work call to whip batter for my chocolate cupcakes
  11. Very real in moment update – I really cannot remember how to use this website. I am struggling to find where everything goes. (So give me time) (I didn’t expect to be this rusty!)
  12. Love riding my bike
  13. I learned that if you are hitting a wall it may be an opportunity to look at it another way.
  14. Learned to find the opportunity in everything. (See update 11.)
  15. Best of all, God has been good!

I hope I find you well with many wonderful things to share. Talk soon.
